Get too fast and loose with the connections and now the simulator plugins are winning again. Although I mainly work on microphones these days. In the case of reamping, we could do away with the D.I box and re-amp box as Sono has a few tricks up its sleeve which provides the same functionality in one box. I can now say with confidence that I think it is. There's a reason I never really talked about the re-amp box on the Signal Art pages until now, and that's because the box was never really quite right, I guess. So, it's time to talk about re-amping a little bit. I am curious on if anyone here has compared all three, and which one would be their go-to for reamping, or maybe any other reamp boxes too. But you will very likely have better results using a passive DI box backwards. Special thanks to Glenn Fricker from SpectreMediaGroup for sending us this shot. The three reamp boxes I have seen to be the most popular are the Radial ProRPM (the blue one), the Radial JCR (the black one) and the DIYRE L2A (DIY kit). You could likely get away with connecting a combo balanced/unbalanced 1/4" output directly to an amp input. You don't need to have both of your stereo monitors connected during the reamp pass. You can "borrow" one of the outputs you normally use for monitoring for the reamp work. So my question is which Audio interface would allow me to do it this way and what cables will i need for this process ? That goes through the reamp into your normal guitar chain. This allows you to send a direct clean signal off of your computer, Huart says. That is exactly what i need! There is no Di boxes were involved so simple! Now i am using Focusrite Solo audio interface and it does not have the output lines. All reamps take a balanced line-level signal from either a mixer or an interface and make it into an unbalanced instrument-level signal that can be handled by a guitar amp. I also got a capture box yesterday and this really helps to keep the signal clean between the Helix's loop send into the amp.Hello guys! I saw a guy on Youtube showing how he takes his tracks out of DAW via the output on his Audio interface ( I could not see with audio interface he was using ) then send it to a guitar pedal Color Box processes it and then plug the output of the pedal back to the front input of his Audio interface. Without the reamp box there will be an impedance mismatch and loss of tone. The goal of the reamp box is to make the amplifier react in exactly the same way a live guitar would, but with a pre-recorded audio source. To do it correctly you’ll need a reamper, some guitar gear and an audio interface with more than two outputs. Just wanted to share these results with you guys! A reamp box converts a low impedance, balanced line level signal to high impedance, unbalanced instrument level signal. The reamp box manages the electrical qualities of the signal to ensure it will sound right through an amp or stompbox. The ground/lift switch helps to eliminate unwanted noise! ![]() ![]() I also got a capture box yesterday and this really helps to keep the signal clean between the Helix's loop send into the amp. Overview The Dual RDB is the ideal interface solution for any application where stereo or dual line level signals from recording interfaces, computers. The results have been amazing so far! Even more accurate than with my QC! In fact, it's very easy to create a preset that runs the usb audio through a loop and then back into the pc and then back into the Helix with a cab block for monitoring through an IR since I'm making direct captures only. The USB in and out routing options are also very flexible in the Helix, much more so than my Axe Fx III for example. My Helix rack was a good option because it allows switching to different samplerates. I did often notice that my captures would lose a little bit of top-end and I saw someone mention that Tonex works at 44.1khz internally. This gave me good results but it's locked at 48khz. Previously I have primarily used my Quad Cortex as the capture interface. Ok, I've done more testing with interfaces etc and I've come to some interesting conclusions! ![]() |
